Esplanade

Many, many moons ago we had a picnic on the esplanade. You might remember it from instagram? Or not. Since moving to Boston, our social life has been very food centered. We have Meredith and Steve over for dinner fairly frequently, though it could always be more frequent. We have had friends over after mass for lunch and the Brighton Parade! And most recently, we had friends for dinner after a ND game watch. Food brings people together. In the best and most delicious way.

Anyway, picnic. Steve had invited us to go to Sunday mass at his parish and walk to the esplanade to eat under the willow trees after. He made caprese sandwiches, Meredith made cookies, and we had homemade salsa and pasta salad. We felt very adult in an almost frightening way.
That is until the boys decided to climb the tree. Then we felt a lot less adult. Childish or childlike?
Then, once in the depth of the tree, they chanted for cookies and Meredith oblidged. Definitely, childish.

It's good to spend time with friends, it's really good to have friends. Especially such good friends.
In our beautifully city.

Gracias to Stephen for organizing.
