A midsummer nights dream

Liz's Wedding Pictures to come but here's a bit about the rest of our month home in the Midwest.
Our trip home was longer than we originally anticipated because of the passing of Tim's grandfather. The circumstances were heartbreaking but we know Paul was happy that we were all able to be together at the "Very Open Bar" sharing the joys of the lives he touched.
Meredith lives in Indiana now, did you know? And we treated ourselves to pedicures.
Got to see this Notre Dame student for dinner before she follows my family's lead and moves to Florida with ACE.
We spent a lot of time with our favorite Pup (including nightly cuddles), driving to our old stomping grounds, and walking campus as frequently as possible.
I've already blogged about Ludington and baby showers but amidst that trip I got to enjoy the company of family in our favorite place. Also a highlight was my brothers and dad being able to feel Lady Kenney's hiccups.
It's not summer if you don't enjoy some quality boat time.
I don't know what is going on with my face here but I do know that I love QT with this guy.
These qtpie(1153tm)'s on their sunset swim.
If I'm just going to spend most of my days sitting with my feet propped up I might as well do it on a boat with great company.
We also got to enjoy a back yard fish fry with the Shafer Family.
And Giant Zucs from grandpa's garden.
We were lucky enough to be able to see our grumpy little lady with both of our moms while home thanks to Tim's cousin and family connections.
We spent the last week of our Midwest adventure  with the Kenney extended family at Sunset Lodge. Unintentional matching is always a great thing.

Liz's Ladiez

Now that I am home and I am 36 weeks along I am heeding everyones advice and resting as much as I can while I still can. Mainly this means daily naps which provides the simplest of joys but it's about time I do something productive while kicking my feet up. So blog catch-up it is. Here's to a post about a 7.5 month pregnant lady that went to a Bachelorette Weekend in Chicago for her best friend.
Here's the lovely bride and my high-school/ forever friend Liz.

With her sister and MOH enjoying cocktails with a view.

Cheers; my water glass is hiding.

We had such a fun crowd for a weekend in the city with cocktails, Tapas, bars, dancing, and Ice Cream.

And cheers again! You might notice that all the guests have ribbons tied around their wrists and this was the greatest Bachelorette idea ever. Everyone was given a ribbon at random and then we found out that the colors stood for different types of drinks (yellow=beer, silver=wine/champagne, blue= cocktail, white=shots) and whenever the bride was up for another drink she snagged a ribbon to indicate her drink preference. This was a cute way for us to treat her and to count up her drinks as she collected ribbons up her wrist!

I wore my non-maternity J. Crew tank to hide my belly as best I could, there was no hiding my poor swollen feet though. That said, I was in the best company of people who slowed down to my pace and made sure I always had a chair at the bar!

My favorite thing about Bachelorette parties is that you get to meet all the wonderful women in the brides life and it makes the wedding 10x more fun because of all the people you know.

M for McGervey.
Saturday night ended at a piano bar with bachelorettes galore and Liz was easily convinced to dance on stage.

We rounded out the weekend with Mass on Sunday morning, brunch, and ice cream in the neighborhood. We had a great time with some great ladies celebrating one week until LizChucksEverett!

Girls Only Parties

Continuing right along with baby showers... Here's one representing my South Bend crew.

Thanks to everyone for coming, especially so last minute and celebrating the new addition to our Girls Nights. Thanks especially to Lady Kenney's Aunts and Nana who planned it.
Everyone contributed to building our little lady's library and it was such a good feeling to put so many classics on her shelf as soon as we got back to Boston.
The following images are just parts of my little scrapbook to document some wonderful women in my life who I love dearly and who make all sorts of last minute efforts to show my growing belly some love. Thank you, thank you. You can never really know just how much it means to me.
