Life Lately

I'm just going to dump some pictures and some moments I want to document forever so I can move on to bragging about our Florida vacation so far. In the meantime I will use my daughters screaming in public to help me work on humility...
Her bumbo and her hands are the tops right now.
Steve had us over for lunch one afternoon and she got to meet Gary, her cousin by extension...
Before I returned to work Gemma and I joined Abby and Anna for birthday festivities at the Aquarium. And you know I love the Aquarium.
The smile has become more and more frequent over the past week and so much babbling.
Adventures to Foxborough and with her new stroller. And sweaters with dad. Also, a tongue discovery which is just plain adorable.
Finally, Tim's mom was with us until Christmas break which was a blessing for so many reasons, one of which was the opportunity for a date night. Our first date night with alcohol in maybe a year. Bless you Judy.

Bernadette the Tree

We got our tree last weekend. We went to the Christmas Tree Sale at my school again and this year we got a girl, Bernadette. I'm happy and she smells lovely.
It was a georgeous day for December as compared to last (Grey) December.
Inside the school is a Winter Wonderland of sorts and Gemma met Santa for the first time and did fabulously.
My trophies, the husband and baby that make me popular with my students.
Gemma was no help putting the tree up or decorating it. Waiting for her to start pulling her weight.
Saint Nicholas came on Sunday with a special doughnut toy in the teeniest little boots.
Starting the tradition that dad gets to choose the helper to put the Angel on the tree...
Even if the helper would rather not.
Merry Christmas from the Kenneys and the Christmas Jammies.
And a cranky baby with Grandma (who made us a perfect Tree Skirt!).

Shamrock Series

Notre Dame came to Boston, did you hear? Well if you live in Boston and didn't know about it, you don't actually live in Boston... you probably actually live in a suburb that starts with an "M" or "W" and you just tell people you live in Boston.
Anyway, we had a great weekend enjoying the city representing our favorite place. We met with some of Tim's friends from ND for lunch and wandering around Fenway and went to the Bleacher Bar to be able to see the field transformation.

During our Fenway explorations, we were actually interviewed for a chance to win two free tickets. (Tim would like to note that he actually got 2/3 right which is why we won the T-shirt, they just only showed the one he got wrong. And I would like to note that I am not mute I just have nothing to contribute to football trivia...)
Saturday was game day which started with watching Game Day while drinking coffee.
Uncle Alex was in town for the game too!
And Tim went to a talk at ND Headquarters before we walked around Fenway again.
This time with a little more padding.
It was pretty fun to see the stadium transformed into Blue and Gold.
And Tim ran into some Glee Clubbers (undertones) and joined in for a bit. It started to feel like we were on campus, sort of.
And Tim ended up with a ticket to the game last minute, so Gemma stepped in and offered to host a tailgate/ game watch in dads absence.
And we were surrounded by food friends and way too many people cheering for BC so Gemma found the Notre Dame fan and stuck with her! It was pretty great, but it definitely wants me want to be on campus for real, maybe next year?

Gemma- 2 Months

Gemma Brigid: 2 Months on November, 26th
I pulled out ye old head band for a photo shoot and this picture sums her up perfectly. I feel like she is always making this face with the lack of neck and cheeks in excess. And don't get me started on the side eye...
I had Tim help me with the pictures so she is never looking at the camera but it's better to know that she is looking at dad instead.
At two months she's a happy baby who talks and talks and look at those smiles. She love the back of the phone (FaceTime) and hates tummy time. She still is pretty happy in her car seat and stroller and only tolerates the baby carrier. She doesn't hate headbands most of the time which makes me the happiest. She hates taking medicine and loves the bath. It's pretty wonderful for her to be awake and aware for so much of the day.
And the hair is coming back!
