Gemma- 4 Months

She's four months and she's too big. Tim and I keep gushing about how proud we are of her huge accomplishments (because for a baby finding your thumb, sticking out your tongue, and sucking on your toes are what you work for in life) but I've got to be a stereotypical mom blog and complain about it going too quickly or else they take my mom blog card away so...
She was pretty concerned about the flash...
So I invested in dads help to get a smiley baby in my amateur photo shoot. I used a stool and a white back drop but it's really just an unmade bed and auto settings.
Gemma's fourth month was a fun one. She found her feet and never let go.
She loves more than anything to be naked, our little immodest bubs.
Dad has taken to calling her tons of fun things as a take off her original nick name of bubba. She will answer to Mrs. Bubberstien, Gemma Brig, Gemma Von Bubberschmidt, the Lady von Bubbers, etc. I just stick to Boogers or princess. All things classy for our little lady.
She's incredibly long but the rolls are coming. The hair is also making a comeback.
If you sing she'll join you. Unless you make her lay on her tummy, which she still hates.
But she is such a happy little bubs. And for the size comparison I promised:
It's crazy that it's been a year since we started making the news of Gemma public. I can't believe it's already been that long since this little girl changed our lives. But also how has this only been a year? Hasn't she always been here?
Did I sufficiently earn my mom blog card?

Gemma- 3 Months

I guess now that Gemma is 4 months old, we should post her 3 month update?
At three months Gemma was a chatty Kathy. She would talk and engage and want to be where all the action was. Our little extrovert loves facing out so as not to miss anything.
She's such a happy baby except for 4am when she's still waking mom up religiously. She sleeps through mass every week and is awake way earlier than I'd like her to be.
She loves time on her back to kick and stretch and play and it's been perfect for face timing all our out of town family.
And the cutest milestone is that she discovered her hands!
Gemma Brigid, 3 Months old the day after Christmas 2015. Which means that today I plan to take her 4 month pictures (4 days after the fact) and I'll post them tomorrow. I'll include a fun size comparison then. Until tomorrow!

Baby's First Christmas

It was so good to be home for Christmas. Well home-ish. Now that my parents have moved to Florida and Tim's parents live in California, Boston is feeling more and more like home. But the comfort of moms home cooked meals and all 7 siblings gathered together and my grandma's trash talk during Euchre can make home anywhere. We learned this to be true of the holidays growing up when we would travel and now this is true of a Florida Christmas. Gemma is pretty lucky to travel to see family in warmer climates. The pictures to follow are of our Christmas festivities with the Magee side complete with Secret Santa, Santa, Gemma and Momo (great Grandma), and family photos.
Christmas dresses and bows and shoes!
Girls pic, gaining a sister!
Tim was so excited Christine is joining the family and they've become the "Outlaws" (Self-named). When they asked for a picture with the original Magee out-law no one realized how comical it would be. They might be related but definitely not by blood!

Christmas Pictures

My mom is big on the Christmas cards. And by that I mean that she puts a lot of thought and effort into them and not at all that they get out on time every year. That said, she is always thinking about them and anytime the whole family is gathered she is sure to get a picture so the card has options.
And then my brother solidified his role as number one in her heart by proposing to Christine. Not only is she sweet, funny, and completely perfect at keeping him in line, she's an extremely talented photographer. So Christine took some great pictures for next years Christmas card, here's to planning ahead.
Merry Christmas! Love, 7KidsPlus
The original 7 with a Murphy photobomb.
No one needs to know that this was a picture amidst a scream fest. I learned from Christine to just keep snapping and one of them might look remotely happy and you can delete the other 184 later.
I got her to snap a few of the Kenney clan of Magee's as well.

4 Generations
And then we had a few Gemma photo shoots over the two days. I seriously think she took upwards of 500 pictures but you'll see it was all worth it.
I splurged on Gemma's Christmas dress, the only real item of clothing I've bought her so far, and was so excited to get some nice and so quintessentially Gemma pictures with it.
The dimples are coming and I am so excited that she got that from her dad.
Some of the first pictures we have of Gemma are in this headband at the hospital. It's fun to pull it out again now that it fits better and she is such a happy baby model.
I am so lucky to be gaining a sister this summer and am forever grateful for these pictures of our sweet girl. For more from Christine you should visit her blog. If you are in the West Palm, FL area you should book her for sure. And for more pictures of Gemma and photo tips and tricks from Christine see this post.
