The leaves are so unchanging

We stray a bit from liturgical living when it comes to our Christmas decor, we travel every year for two weeks over Christmas and we want to soak as much of it in as we can. So right when we got back from Thanksgiving we made the trek to Shannons school to purchase our third Christmas tree. First there was Herbert, then Bernadette, and this year Bruce (not) the Spruce.

During our Thanksgiving trip to Florida we took Gem to the beach for her first experience of sand. These pictures document her curiosity and love of sand, she screamed when we put her down at first and again when we picked her up to leave... enjoy!

When your sister-in-law is a professional photographer and you ask her to grab her camera as you run out the door trying to catch the sunset on the iPhone 6. Move over cell phone camera and gracias so much Christine for responding to my call, I'll cherish these photos forever. 

You can see from the picture succession that Gem was not fond of the grass and would only last a few moments before signing to be picked up again, spoiled babe.
