Euchre and Hearts and Other Things

Liz and Chuck came to visit for the Easter Weekend. We loved showing them our city, visiting the Cheers bar for the first time, Sam Adams brewery tours, celebrating Easter and playing four person card games. It's so hard to have such good friends that live so far away, but so fantastic when they are able to take a vacation to Boston (in March, brave souls).
(you know I love Acorn Street. I bring all of our visitors here. You're welcome most photographed location in the city of Boston.)
I call this selection "Grumpy Dad, Tired Dad, Expert Dad: Adventures of a City Baby"
I'll detail our day in Maine in my next post but in the meantime I'll post a heartfelt and potentially cheesy message:
Thank you so much for visiting! We loved having you and getting to introduce you to our sweet girl. Liz leaned over to me while at the Cheers Bar and said, "Can you believe that we are buying drinks for our husbands right now?" and the answer is that I am still struggling with that. It's crazy to think that this is our norm when it still feels like High School was yesterday and planning for marriage was still a daydream at best. We loved the adventure of our weekend and also the more quiet hangout nights we got to have too. We wish this could be a regular thing, that Indy was closer, and that money for travel wasn't an issue. But C'est La Vie, so next time it's our turn. We will come to Indy to explore your new city (either us or one of your celebrity friends coming to knit with ya). Love you both, thanks for being our married friends! See you at Vespers!
