Welcome Party

As noted earlier, Tim and Mark drove out with Gemma so they could spend the week before Katie and Owens wedding with his family in South Bend. I had to work that week so most of these images were taken before I arrived and then the rest are from the bridal party welcome party!

It was a week filled with meeting all of the cousins and preparing for a huge celebration for Katie and Owen! We loved getting to meet our niece (!) too.

Gemma Brigid- One Year

This headband has been good to us, don't you think?

Gemma Brigid, you turn one today. I think back to this day one year ago and your dad and I could not stop staring at you while your Nana took a million pictures to send to all your doting aunts, uncles, and grandparents. And today, you are much less likely to let us kiss your head or cuddle you to sleep but we love to watch you none the less. We stare in awe as you climb over anything thats in the way or shove 6 blueberries in your mouth at once. We watch with laughter when you mimic faces back to us.  We just can't get enough of you and can't wait to continue to see you grow.

A colorful play date

I guess now that summer is officially over maybe I should tell you about all of our summer weddings? It would make sense to catch up on that before we head to ND for a football game next weekend... So, this week will be the week that I finally post all pictures wedding!

My brother and time sister both got married within a week this summer. It made for a great and jam packed midwestern trip. I couldn't get two full weeks off of work but Tim wanted to spend the week before Katie's wedding with his fam. Insert Mark! Bless you Mark for being so gracious to us. He flew to DC in order to drive with Tim and Gemma to Indiana.

We had lunch in Brookland, walked the humidity of the city, and escaped to the Renwick Gallery for a bit of A/C. Thank you so much Mark for sharing part of the drive with a screaming babe.
