Last weekend we had the true pleasure of traveling to Long Island for the wedding of our two good friends Maureen and Tyler. Let me document the rest for ya here.
We got to take a ferry to the Island which was my first time driving a car onto a boat and even at 6:45 in the morning, I loved it!
Once we got onto the Island and drove through the scenic wine country, we found a quaint little downtown confectionery for breakfast.
And then beach it was! We were a bit bummed that it was a cool day but we still managed a few sun burns, quality beach naps, and countless games.
And we also beat the rain!
Our travel companions made the trip such a blast!
We met up with our whole crew for an elevator selfie before the ceremony.
These guys. And this little girl!
It was such a beautiful and intentional ceremony.
Documented. Forever.
And no one should be surprised that Mike convinced the Mother of the Bride to take a shot.
There's nothing I love more than traveling and adventuring with this man.
Celebrating dads, especially these two dads of daughters.
Shots out of wine glasses, stay classy San Diego.
On our way back to MA, we stopped off in New Haven to tour Yale, enjoy lunch, and cross Connecticut off my list.
Have you been to Yale? We enjoyed the tour from the visitor center and are pondering trips to each of the Ivies. What do you think? Worth it?
Yale was beautiful and so reminded us of Oxford.
I've come to really appreciate the trips and tours Tim and I get to do because we have summers off. Praise God for endless academic schedules.
